West Ham United's Carlton Cole ready to face Manchester City

Carlton Cole says that he is available to play for West Ham United ahead of their Premier League match with Manchester City this weekend.

West Ham United forward Carlton Cole has said that he is ready to face Manchester City in the Premier League this weekend.

The former England international was released from the Hammers in the summer but agreed a deal to return to the club on Monday.

The 30-year-old has been training with the club for the past few weeks and he believes that he is fit enough to make an impact at Upton Park on Saturday.

"I'm available for selection," he told the club's official website.

"I'll train all week with the team and then it's just up to the manager to see what he wants to do. Hopefully I will make the bench and take it from there."

Cole scored 59 goals for West Ham during his first spell at the club.
