Half-Time Report: Emiliano Martinez penalty save keeps Wolverhampton Wanderers level

Tommer Hemed sees his penalty saved by Emiliano Martinez as Brighton & Hove Albion are held by Wolverhampton Wanderers at half time.

Emiliano Martinez's save from Tommer Hemed's penalty has denied Brighton & Hove Albion the chance to take the lead away to Wolverhampton Wanderers.

After both sides wasted early opportunities from set-piece situations, it was Wolves who came closest to scoring in the opening stages after Benik Afobe teed up James Henry, but the midfielder curled his effort over David Stockdale's crossbar.

On 15 minutes, Henry again tried to fashion an opportunity for the hosts, but his cross was comfortably gathered by Stockdale as Wanderers struggled to get players up in support.

The game came to life midway through the half when Brighton were awarded a penalty for Scott Golbourne's foul on Jamie Murphy. However, Hemed was unable to score as Martinez managed to turn away his spot kick.

Hemed tried to atone for his miss when he latched on to Liam Rosenior's pass and broke clear of the Wolves defence, but was denied again by the Wanderers stopper.

At the other end, Adam Le Fondre almost forced a breakthrough for the hosts as he received Ethan Ebanks-Landell's pass, but the former Reading attacker had his effort cleared off the line by Hemed.
