Wolves boss Terry Connor believes that his side have the quality, experience and belief required to keep them in the division.

Wolverhampton Wanderers boss Terry Connor has expressed his belief that his side have the quality required to stay in the Premier League, and that they are ready for the challenge.

Connor watched on as his team fell to a 2-0 home defeat to fellow strugglers Blackburn Rovers on Saturday, leaving him still waiting for his first win as manager.

However, Connor believes that Wolves's past experience of relegation battles will be an advantage during the Premier League run-in.

"This leaves us second-bottom, but still with a lot of fight. We spoke after the game and we still believe. One game doesn't make or break a season, so we will be in there and be competitive for the next 10 games," said Connor.

"I'm certain [we can stay up] because we have done it for the last two years with a similar sort of group. This is their third attempt at it. It was always going to be a tight, hard season and that is why we must remain competitive.

"Regardless of the losses we suffer, we must remain positive so we can get enough points to remain above that dotted line come May 13."

Wolves currently sit 19th in the Premier League, one point away from safety.
