Dragons see off Wakefield at Stade Gilbert Brutus

Catalan Dragones beat Wakefield 40-6 at Stade Gilbert Brutus.

Elliot Whitehead scored a hat-trick as Catalans Dragons ran out 40-6 winners against Wakefield Trinity Wildcats at Stade Gilbert Brutus.

Daryl Millard, Morgan Escare, Whitehead and Zeb Taia scored to give the Dragons a 28-0 half-time lead, with playmaker Sam Williams directing with the boot.

Escare scored a breakaway try after the interval to extend the lead and Whitehead powered through to add his third.

Wakefield, unbeaten in five, replied through Reece Lyne's consolation.

Catalan Dragons will take on Huddersfield Giants at the John Smith's Stadium on Sunday, July 27.
