Leeds Rhinos coach Brian McDermott believes that Wakefield Trinity Wildcats deserved something from their defeat to his side last night.

Brian McDermott has admitted that Wakefield Trinity Wildcats deserved something from a closely-fought match against Leeds Rhinos in the Super League last night.

Two tries in the last six minutes helped the visitors come from behind at Belle Vue to beat the Wildcats 31-24.

The Leeds coach told Sky Sports News: "I thought last week's game was a cracking advertisement for Super League and [yesterday]'s was as well.

"The two teams really had a dig and it was dramatic at the end. Neither team gave in and the result could have gone either way.

"Had Wakefield won that game, I wouldn't have had a grievance. I thought Wakefield probably deserved something out of it."

The result leaves Leeds fourth in the Super League table.
