Wakefield Trinity Wildcats too strong for London Broncos

Wakefield Trinity Wildcats thrash London Broncos 50-22 in the Super League.

Wakefield Trinity Wildcats eased to a 50-22 victory against London Broncos in the Super League this afternoon.

Richie Mathers helped the visitors open up an early lead, scoring two tries inside the opening 10 minutes for the Wildcats.

Thomas Minns gave the home side some hope with a 24th-minute try, but Wakefield added a further three scores before the break, all of which were converted by Jarrod Sammut, leaving them with a 30-6 lead at half time.

Mathers added a further two for Wakefield in the second half, while Dean Collis finished with a brace as the visitors never looked like letting their opponents back into the game.

Matt Cook and Denny Solomona both had a couple of late consolation tries for the hosts, but it was not enough for them to avoid a heavy defeat.
