Stephen Moore hails determined Australia following victory over New Zealand

Australia captain Stephen Moore praises his team for 'digging in' to beat New Zealand and win the Rugby Championship.

Australia captain Stephen Moore has hailed his side for showing the resilience to beat New Zealand and win the Rugby Championship.

The Wallabies ended a 10-match winless streak against the All Blacks on Saturday by earning a 27-19 triumph in Sydney.

The result has also kept Australia's Bledisloe Cup hopes alive ahead of next weekend's clash in Auckland.

"It was a good week's preparation and we really worked hard getting ready for this match," Moore told the Australian Rugby Union's official website. "We fought hard for each other and we were able to get home in the end despite what they threw at us.

"We really hung in there in defence, worked hard and covered for each other. We fought hard for each other and I was really proud of that."

Australia's previous victory over New Zealand came back in 2011 when they recorded a 25-10 triumph in Brisbane.
