British and Lions head coach Warren Gatland has named Andy Farrell, Steve Borthwick and Rob Howley as part of his backroom team for the 2017 tour of New Zealand.
Farrell, who was part of the Lions' success in Australia three years ago, currently works as Ireland's defence coach, while Borthwick works alongside England head coach Eddie Jones.
Howley, who was also part of the coaching team for the Lions' 2-1 triumph over the Aussies, will remain in temporary charge of Wales during Gatland's absence.
The squad will be announced on April 19, three months before the three-Test series against New Zealand.
