Andy Murray: I must be patient

Andy Murray says that he must improve his clay court game if he is to win his first title on the dirt.

Andy Murray has said that he must be more patient on clay if he is to win his first title on the surface.

The world number four crashed out at the quarter-final stage of the Monte Carlo Masters to Tomas Berdych.

The Scot said that he must also hit deeper if he is to make an impact on the clay court season.

"I need to be patient on this surface so I really can't be too disappointed. It always takes me a bit of time," said the 24-year-old. "I'll need to improve my depth on the clay.

"You get a lot of reward for hitting the ball deep and close to the line."

Murray next plays in this week's Barcelona Open.
