Laura Robson sees off the challenge of Agnieszka Radwanska at the Madrid Masters with a 6-3 6-1 win.

Great Britain's Laura Robson dropped just four games on her way to knocking world number four Agnieszka Radwanska out of the Madrid Masters this evening thanks to a 6-3 6-1 win.

Robson, who had struggled for form during a number of tournaments since the turn of year, claimed the decisive break in the first set to open up a 5-3 advantage, before going on to hold her next service game to take a one-set lead.

The second set proved to be even more comfortable for the 19-year-old, who went 4-1 up with two breaks of her Polish opponent's serve. A final break then followed as Australia-born Robson booked her place in round three of the competition in the Spanish capital.

Robson is currently ranked 38 in the standings, but a good run in the ongoing event in Madrid would likely see her move up a handful of places.
