Napoli are reportedly weighing up a £21m swoop for Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira.
The 23-year-old has been a regular for the Gunners during the 2019-20 campaign, making 20 appearances in all competitions, including 13 in the Premier League.
The Uruguay international has started and finished his team's last two league outings under interim boss Freddie Ljungberg, who picked up his first success as head coach at West Ham United on Monday night.
Torreira has consistently been linked with a return to Italy since arriving at the Emirates Stadium in July 2018, though, and according to Il Mattino, Napoli are lining up a bid of £21m.
The report claims that the Serie A outfit, who recently sacked Carlo Ancelotti as head coach, were keen on a loan move during the January window, but the Gunners are unlikely to agree to those terms.
AC Milan are also believed to be closely monitoring developments surrounding the South American.
