Aston Villa defender Ciaran Clark has insisted that spirits are still high at the club, despite Sunday's 2-0 defeat to Fulham.
The Villans saw their five-game unbeaten run in the Premier League come to an end on the weekend as they were seen off at Craven Cottage.
Despite suffering a setback to their season, Clark is confident that the squad will respond positively when they play host to Manchester United this Sunday.
"We were on a high. We have had a few good results. We were unbeaten in five, but we won't let this get us down too much," he told the club's official website.
"It was one of those frustrating games where we couldn't break them down. They put a lot of men behind the ball and did frustrate us. But we will move forward and now focus on the next game. We will go again at the weekend."
Villa are currently in 11th place in the Premier League table.
