Blackpool winger Thomas Ince has revealed that the mentoring skills of father Paul have had a huge influence on his blossoming career.
The 20-year-old's dad won 53 caps for the Three Lions during his playing days, during which he captained both Liverpool and Manchester United.
Son Thomas has impressed since joining the Tangerines from Anfield and has been rewarded with an England Under-21s call up from Stuart Pearce.
He is poised to make his debut against Azerbaijan tomorrow night and has said that his father has been advising him on international football.
"Of course, I couldn't have had a better mentor than my dad," he told FATV.
"I have my critics - he'll be the main one. I've had double guidance in everything I've done. He can help me off the pitch."
Ince has scored four goals in as many games for Blackpool at the start of their Championship season.
