Charlie Adams hoping for loan move

Brentford midfielder Charlie Adams admits that he could depart the club on loan this summer.

Brentford midfielder Charlie Adams has admitted that he could depart the club on loan before the end of the transfer window.

The 19-year-old, who has made just one first-team appearance for the Bees, is a product of the club's youth academy.

"I need to play in the Football League and establish myself. I feel I've done that in development football but the men's game is completely different," he told Sky Sports News.

"That's what I need to do, whether that be going out on loan or playing here. I need some games under my belt.

"I spoke to [Academy director] Ose Aibangee. They want me to get games on loan and develop. That's the most important thing for me. I'm looking at the moment. Hopefully I can get a League Two club and we can kick on from there."

A number of League Two clubs are believed to be monitoring developments.
