Two own goals as Burton Albion, Stevenage draw

Burton Albion and Stevenage finish all square in their League Two clash after two own goals.

League Two leaders Burton Albion drew with Stevenage after an own goal apiece at the Pirelli Stadium this evening.

Tom Naylor was the first player to turn the ball into his own net, with the ball flicking off the defender following Dean Wells's header from a corner.

The home side had a goal disallowed, with Shane Cansdell-Sherriff straying offside following Matt Palmer's cross.

Just before half time, it was Bira Dembele who was the unlucky scorer for the hosts, with his own goal coming after a scrap in the box from a corner.

Midway through the second half, Phil Edwards saw his header ricochet off the post following a corner.

Neither side could force a winner, leaving Burton three points clear of second-placed Shrewsbury Town with seven games left to play.
