Andy Gray backs Chelsea to return to winning ways against Liverpool

Andy Gray backs Chelsea to grab a much-needed win over Liverpool at Stamford Bridge this afternoon.

Former Scotland international Andy Gray has backed Chelsea to claim a much-needed win in this afternoon's clash against Liverpool at Stamford Bridge.

Jose Mourinho's side have managed just three wins out of 10 Premier League games, while Jurgen Klopp is yet to guide Liverpool to a win in the Premier League after two attempts.

"I fancy Chelsea," Gray wrote on his Paddy Power blog. "They're still at home and they have a chance. There's nothing that suggests Liverpool have changed.

"Klopp will take time and the players will take time to find out what he wants and to play the way he wants. Liverpool are struggling at the moment to score goals. They don't look a team that are creating chances and I think that will continue.

"I'm going for a Chelsea 2-0 win because I don't think that Liverpool will or can score. If Costa starts I'd be looking at him to score the first goal. Don't discount the centre backs in a game like this. A tight, tough game the first goal could come from Terry, Cahill or Zouma from a set play."

Chelsea are 15th in the league table, three points behind ninth-placed Liverpool.
