Report: Zinedine Zidane gives Chelsea £200m ultimatum

Former Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane is reportedly interested in taking on the Chelsea job, but only if he is given £200m to spend in the transfer market.

Zinedine Zidane has reportedly laid out his terms after informing Chelsea that he is interested in becoming their next manager.

The former Real Madrid boss, who won three Champions League titles in three years at the Bernabeu, has been strongly touted as a possible successor for under-fire boss Maurizio Sarri.

Chelsea are rumoured to be weighing up whether to part company with Sarri after less than a year at the helm following an underwhelming run of results and concerns over the playing style.

The Sun reports that Zidane is keen to discuss the job as he feels he can turn the club into contenders once again, but he will only do it on his own terms.

It is claimed that the Frenchman has asked for a £200m transfer kitty to strengthen the squad, and he wants a major say in who joins and leaves.

Zidane also wants Eden Hazard to stay in place, despite the Belgian winger angling for a move to Madrid.

A big week for Sarri starts with Monday's FA Cup fifth-round tie against Manchester United and culminates in the EFL Cup final against Manchester City.
