Chelsea are allegedly interested in signing Paris Saint-Germain forward Mauro Icardi at some point during 2022.
The Blues are not short of options down the middle of their attack with Romelu Lukaku, Timo Werner and Kai Havertz all able to play in that position.
However, despite sitting at the top of the Premier League standings, Thomas Tuchel's team have struggled for consistency in the final third.
On his official Twitter account, journalist Ekrem Konur says that Tuchel is open to securing a reunion with Icardi, who he has previously worked with at Parc des Princes.
Despite featuring for PSG on a regular basis this season, speculation persists that the Argentina international will sign for a new club during one of the next two transfer windows.
In his only full campaign working under Tuchel, the 28-year-old contributed 20 goals from his 34 appearances in all competitions.
