Team News: Three changes for Bristol City as Jay Emmanuel-Thomas starts

Bristol City make three changes for their League One match against Colchester United.

Bristol City manager Steve Cotterill has a fully-fit squad to choose from for their League One match with relegation-threatened Colchester United.

Colchester can exit the relegation zone with victory, whilst Bristol can extend their lead at the top of the table.

Alex Gilbey returns to the Colchester starting lineup after injury, replacing David Fox, who has failed a late fitness test. Macauley Bonne replaces Sammie Szmodics in attack.

City make three changes from Tuesday's victory over Peterborough United. Wade Elliott, Jay Emmanuel-Thomas and James Tavernier come in for Marlon Pack, Kieran Agard and Mark Little.

Colchester: Walker; Clohessy, Wynter, Eastman, Briggs; Hewitt, Gilbey, Lapslie, Massey; Porter, Bonne

Bristol City: Fielding; Ayling, Williams, Flint, Tavernier; Elliott, K Smith, Bryan, Freeman; M Smith, Emmanuel-Thomas
