Preview: Derby County vs. Cardiff City

Sports Mole previews managerless Cardiff City's trip to Derby County in the Championship.

Derby County will be seeking back-to-back wins for the first time this season when they host Cardiff City in the Championship this weekend.

Steve McClaren's side came from behind to extend their unbeaten run to four matches with a 3-2 victory over Blackburn Rovers in midweek, leaving them seventh in the table.

The Rams have reported no fresh injuries ahead of the match, and will have defender Jake Buxton available again after he served a one-match ban for a red card last week.

Meanwhile, Cardiff will be hoping to avoid a fifth match in a row without a win following their loss to Middlesbrough earlier this week.

The Bluebirds will have to do it without manage Ole Gunnar Solskjaer after he stepped down from his role after less than a year at the club, leaving Danny Gabbidon and Scott Young to prepare the team for Saturday's trip.

Craig Noone is yet to feature for Cardiff this season, but is believed to be close to a return from a groin injury, while Ben Turner remains several weeks away from a return from an ankle injury.

Cardiff have a good record against Derby in recent seasons, with three wins and two draws from their last five meetings.
