Steve Bruce hopeful of Tom Huddlestone FA Cup return

Steve Bruce says he is expecting Tom Huddlestone to return to the Hull City side for next weekend's game against Sheffield United following injury.

Hull City manager Steve Bruce has revealed that he expects midfielder Tom Huddlestone to be fit for next weekend's FA Cup semi-final.

The 27-year old missed the Tigers' 1-0 victory against Swansea City yesterday after sustaining an injury to his back in the loss to Stoke City the previous weekend.

However, Bruce remains confident that Huddlestone will be back in the squad for Sunday's clash against Sheffield United at Wembley.

"We expect him to be [fit]," Bruce is quoted as saying by Clubcall.com.

"He hurt his back last week, which led to an abductor muscle problem and he was sore around his midriff. We'll see how he is but we expect him to be fit."

Hull's victory against Swansea leaves them sitting in 12th place in the Premier League table.
