Nigel Pearson happy with "balanced squad"

Nigel Pearson is confident that his Leicester City team will be able to deal with the inevitable dips in form over the course of the Championship campaign.

Leicester City manager Nigel Pearson believes that his squad is better equipped this season to deal with the highs and lows of the Championship campaign.

The Foxes, who lost out to Watford in the semi-finals of last year's playoffs after a drastic run of form, are just three points off the top after nine games.

"We have a better balanced squad and more experience this year," PA quotes the 50-year-old as saying.

"I know we will have some dips this year but I think we are better equipped to deal with them this season that we were last. We are doing okay - a bit better than okay actually."

The East Midlands outfit were held to a 2-2 draw at Blackpool today.
