Riyad Mahrez extends Leicester City stay until 2019

Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri confirms that midfielder Riyad Mahrez has extended his stay at the King Power Stadium until 2019.

Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri has revealed that midfielder Riyad Mahrez has signed a new deal with the club until 2019.

The 24-year-old has scored seven goals in 51 games for the Foxes since arriving the King Power Stadium from Le Havre at the start of 2014.

Mahrez has found the net three times in 17 appearances for the Algerian national team.

While answering questions from fans on Twitter, Ranieri said: "I'd like to start by saying I'm delighted to tell you all that Riyad Mahrez has signed a new contract with Leicester City until 2019."

Leicester begin their 2015-16 Premier League campaign on Saturday when they host Sunderland.
