Tsimikas picked up a thigh problem during the EFL Cup win over Lincoln City last month and has not been involved since. While the Greece international is not thought to be too far away from a return, the left-back may not be risked on Wednesday night.

Van Dijk sustained a serious knee injury on Saturday afternoon, a consequence of a reckless challenge from Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford.
