Bayern Munich reportedly enter the race to sign Liverpool midfielder Emre Can this summer.

Bayern Munich are reportedly ready to enter the race to sign Liverpool midfielder Emre Can this summer.

The 24-year-old is out of contract at Anfield at the end of the season and as it stands will be available for free transfer, although he has kept open the possibility of signing a new deal with the Reds.

Juventus have made no secret of their desire to acquire Can this summer and are thought to have held talks with the German's representatives over a lucrative switch, but according to The Mirror, they will face competition from Bundesliga champions Bayern.

The newspaper claims that the German side have doubts over the future of Arturo Vidal and are "considering their options", with a return for Can among the possibilities.

Can joined Bayern at the age of 15 and spent four years with the club, winning one Bundesliga title, the Champions League and a domestic cup before leaving for Bayer Leverkusen in 2013.
