Roma midfielder Lorenzo Pellegrini is on the radar of Tottenham Hotspur, according to a report.
The 25-year-old hit double figures in both goals and assists for the 2020-21 campaign, netting 11 times and setting up 10 goals for his teammates in 47 appearances across all competitions.
However, Pellegrini has now entered the final year of his contract with Jose Mourinho's side, and the likes of Liverpool and Barcelona have been credited with an interest in the Italian.
Tottenham are also keeping a close eye on Pellegrini's situation, according to The Athletic, but Roma are not prepared to sanction an exit on the cheap despite his contract situation.
The report claims that any interested party will still have to fork out the entirety of his release clause, which is said to be €30m (£25.6 m), although Spurs are not prioritising midfield incomings this summer.
Pellegrini has amassed 21 goals and 34 assists from 152 appearances in a Roma shirt since 2017, but a thigh injury ruled him out of Italy's triumphant Euro 2020 campaign.
