A number of senior Manchester City players are reportedly beginning to lose faith in manager Pep Guardiola.

Members of Manchester City's first-team squad are reportedly beginning to lose faith in manager Pep Guardiola.

While the Spaniard has won six pieces of domestic silverware since his arrival at the Etihad Stadium in 2016, City are yet to make any significant progress with regards to ending their wait for the Champions League trophy.

Their latest defeat in the last-eight of the competition came on Saturday evening as they suffered a surprise 3-1 defeat at the hands of Lyon.

After a tactical gamble from Guardiola failed to pay off, The Athletic claims that senior players have started to question some of the decision made by the former Barcelona boss.

The report suggests that the City squad were unsure how to react in the dressing room after conceding two late goals to the French outfit.

City only have the EFL Cup to show for their 2019-20 campaign.
