Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini insists that Liverpool will pose a significant threat to his side on Sunday afternoon.

Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has insisted that his players must respect the threat posed by Liverpool on Sunday afternoon.

The Reds travel to the Etihad Stadium after securing a 2-2 draw against Arsenal in midweek and Mancini believes that it is a "dangerous game" for his side as they look to remain in the Premier League title race.

Mancini told reporters: "When you want to change like Liverpool have, it is difficult sometimes.

"Rodgers did some good results but Liverpool always is a strong team. It will be a dangerous game on Sunday."

Manchester City have yet to concede a goal in 2013.
