Ashley Young delighted to be among the goals

Manchester United winger Ashley Young reveals that he was delighted to score for the second consecutive game during Saturday's 3-1 win over West Ham United.

Manchester United winger Ashley Young has revealed that he was delighted to get on the scoresheet for the second consecutive game during Saturday's 3-1 win over West Ham United.

Young found the net against Stoke City in the League Cup on Wednesday before scoring again against the Hammers at Old Trafford in the Premier League.

"Before midweek, I hadn't scored in 18 or 19 months and to get two in a week is fantastic," he told MUTV. "It's like when buses come along!

"I'm obviously delighted to get on the scoresheet but the performance was even better and I thought we dominated the game from the very start.

"When we got the first goal, we kicked on from there, kept possession and did a great job, even if West Ham came back into it in the second half."

United continue the defence of their Premier League title on Boxing Day when they take on Hull City at the KC Stadium.
