Manchester United are plotting a shock move for Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Eric Dier, according to a report.
Red Devils boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is expected to be heavily backed in the summer to revamp his squad following a disappointing 2018-19 campaign.
United have already been linked with a number of Premier League players, including the likes of Declan Rice, Toby Alderweireld and Aaron Wan-Bissaka, and Football Insider suggests that Dier is also a possible target.
The England international first emerged as an option for United two years ago, but Spurs were reluctant to do business with a direct rival.
However, Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino is said to be more open to a sale this time around in order to fund incoming arrivals.
Holding midfielder Dier has made over 200 appearances for Spurs since joining from Sporting Lisbon in 2014, 24 of those outings coming this term.
