Jerzy Janowicz has progressed to the third round of the Paris Masters with a straight-sets victory over qualifier Santiago Giraldo.
The 22-year-old Polish player was taken to the wire in the first set, as he won it on a tie-break 7-6(3).
The second set was much more straightforward for Janowicz as he clinched it 6-3.
Janowicz will face either Rafael Nadal or Marcel Granollers in the third round of the tournament.
