Late goals give Queens Park Rangers emphatic win

Queens Park Rangers score three late goals to beat Nottingham Forest 5-2 at Loftus Road this afternoon.

Queens Park Rangers survived a spirited Nottingham Forest display to eventually win 5-2 at Loftus Road this afternoon.

The visitors twice came from behind, before late goals from Nedum Onouha, Ravel Morrison and Bobby Zamora saw off the threat of Forest.

Yossi Benayoun gave the home side the lead in the first minute when he stooped low to head home.

Jamaal Lascelles scored his second goal of the season to equalise in the 36th minute when he headed home corner after escaping Richard Dunne inside the six-yard box.

Junior Hoilett went close when he somehow squeezed it through a defender's legs before dragging his shot wide after coming in from the left hand side into the penalty area on 40 minutes.

However the winger made amends two minutes later when he regained the lead for his side by poking home to net his fourth goal of the campaign.

Greg Halford almost headed the scores level on 67 minutes, but Danny Simpson intervened to nod clear off the line.

Ravel Morrison had a penalty appeal turned away after going down under the challenge of Jonathan Greening with 20 minutes remaining.

Forest had their second equaliser with 15 minutes left, and it was QPR's weakness at set pieces that was again exposed when Matt Derbyshire headed in his first goal this year.

Onouha rifled home with seven minutes of normal time left after good work from Morrison and Tom Carroll, before the on-loan West Ham United midfielder squeezed in stoppage-time effort.

Zamora added an even later effort to seal the points in emphatic fashion.

The win leaves Harry Redknapp's side third in the Championship, 10 points off the automatic promotion places.
