Reading midfielder Danny Williams targets dream year

Danny Williams hopes to make 2014 the 'best year of his life' by winning promotion to the Premier League with Reading and earning a place in the USA's World Cup squad.

Reading midfielder Danny Williams has said that he hopes to make 2014 the 'best year of his life' by winning promotion to the Premier League and earning a place in the USA's World Cup squad.

Following last Sunday's 3-1 win at Queens Park Rangers, the Royals are currently sixth in the Championship table.

"Every player wants to play in the Premier League and the World Cup, and I am no different," Williams told the Daily Star. "If I can achieve both, I could easily look back and say the year 2014 was the best year of my life.

"When you have the opportunity to play in the World Cup, you have to do everything possible to be included.

"I will also be doing everything in my power to prove my ability by helping Reading achieve promotion."

Williams, 24, was born in Germany, but he has been capped 12 times by the USA at senior international level.
