Nuri Sahin hints that he could leave Real Madrid permanently in the summer.

Nuri Sahin has hinted that he could leave Real Madrid at the end of the season.

The 24-year-old Turkey international is currently on loan from the Spanish club to German outfit Borussia Dortmund.

"From the outside you can say that I failed abroad," the midfielder told Bild. "It was not meant to be, and I had my part to play.

"[Madrid coach Jose] Mourinho was always honest with me, always told me everything in private. It was an honour to work with him.

"I left on loan because I wanted to play, and Borussia are for me a matter of the heart. The end of the loan? In due course, the clubs will come together and find a good solution."

Sahin joined Madrid from Dortmund in the summer of 2011.
