Rotherham United have confirmed that manager Andy Scott has "parted company" with the club.
The 39-year-old only took charge of the League Two club in April 2011 following a four-year stint managing Brentford.
However, with the Millers currently 11th in the table, the two parties have agreed to go their separate ways.
"The club would like to place on record our thanks for Andy's time and effort whilst he has been with Rotherham United, and we wish him well for the future," read a statement on the club's official website.
Assistant manager Darren Patterson has agreed to take temporary charge while a new boss is appointed.
