Tottenham Hotspur's Toby Alderweireld resumes first-team training for the first time since suffering a hamstring injury.

Tottenham Hotspur defender Toby Alderweireld is in the early stages of his return to first-team training.

The Belgian missed Spurs' midweek defeat to Juventus in the Champions League with a hamstring problem, but the club has confirmed that he has stepped up his comeback.

"Toby Alderweireld is in the early stages of integrating in parts of first-team training," read a post on the official Spurs Twitter account.

Alderweireld has suffered from persistent injury woes all season, having already missed three months of the campaign due to a hamstring problem.

Spurs have also confirmed that Eric Dier faces a fitness test ahead of this weekend's Premier League clash with Bournemouth due to taking a knock against Juve.
