Dele Alli "devastated" by draw

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli reveals that he was left "devastated" by Leicester City's equaliser after breaking the deadlock in the 1-1 draw.

Dele Alli has admitted that he was "devastated" to see his first goal for Tottenham Hotspur only earn them a 1-1 draw against Leicester City.

The 19-year-old, who was signed from MK Dons in January but only joined up with the first-team squad in the summer, opened the scoring at the King Power Stadium before Riyad Mahrez hit back less than two minutes later to claim a point for the Foxes.

Despite making an impact from the bench for the visitors once again, Alli claims that he was left with mixed feelings when reflecting on the result.

"It was very special to score my first goal but I'm devastated we didn't win the game," the midfielder told the club's website. "It was like going from one extreme to the other. The fans were great as they have been all season."

Spurs have collected just two points from their opening three games.
