Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino 'holds crisis meeting'

Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino reportedly held talks with a number of his want-away players earlier this week in a bid to get their campaign back on track.

Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino has reportedly held discussions with several players who have been linked with a move away from the club.

While Spurs have come through a testing start to the campaign with five points from four Premier League fixtures, they have failed to replicate the level of their performances from last season.

That has partly been put down to the uncertainty surrounding a number of members of the first-team squad, including Danny Rose, Toby Alderweireld and Christian Eriksen.

Serge Aurier and Victor Wanyama are also included on that list having failed to secure deadline day moves away from the North Londoners.

According to The Sun, Pochettino made the decision to hold talks with the players in question earlier this week in a bid to get the club's campaign back on track.

Spurs face a busy period, with seven matches to be played in the space of 21 days.
