The agent of Laurent Depoitre has hinted that the Tottenham Hotspur-linked striker would be interested in a switch to the Premier League.
Spurs have been tipped with a January move for the Gent ace, who has found the net six times in 12 appearances for his club this season.
However, despite some reports suggesting that talks were already underway between the two parties, Depoitre's representative Rene Vijt has revealed that this is not the case.
"As far as I know there have been no negotiations [with Tottenham], but there is a lot of interest in him," he told ESPN. "He is still under contract with Gent, and they want to remain champions so they will not want to lose him.
"Negotiations will be tough, but that matter depends on Gent and any agreement with any interested club. However, I believe Laurent would be a fantastic player in the Premier League. He is happy in Gent, but try to find me a player that does not want to play in the Premier League."
Depoitre scored on his Belgium debut in the 4-1 win over Andorra on Saturday night.
