Atletico Madrid have reportedly upped their efforts to sign Napoli forward Arkadiusz Milik.
After contributing 47 goals from 113 appearances for the Italian outfit, Milik is allegedly ready to take on a new challenge later in 2020.
With just a year remaining on the Poland international's contract, Napoli find themselves in a position where they would prefer to cash in on the 26-year-old.
According to Calciomercato, Atletico are looking to take advantage of the situation by lodging the first formal approach for the player.
The report suggests that Milik is already discussing the prospect of moving to Wanda Metropolitano with his representatives.
Earlier this week, it was suggested that Tottenham Hotspur may look to sign Milik by offering Lucas Moura in part-exchange.
