West Bromwich Albion 'begin talks with list of head coach candidates'

West Bromwich Albion reportedly begin talks with candidates for the head coach role at The Hawthorns.

The West Bromwich Albion hierarchy have reportedly begun talks with their list of candidates for the head coach vacancy at The Hawthorns.

The Baggies are in the hunt for a new leader following the departure of Pepe Mel at the end of the 2013-14 season.

According to the Birmingham Mail, the club, who have a shortlist of around six contenders, will continue talking to coaches for the rest of the week.

Real Madrid coach Paul Clement remains the bookmakers' favourite for the role, but reports have claimed that the 42-year-old's arrival is far from sealed.

It is believed that Glenn Hoddle, Gianfranco Zola, Steve Round and former West Brom player Derek McInnes are potential candidates.
