West Ham United boss Sam Allardyce: 'Only results will stop criticism'

West Ham United manager Sam Allardyce believes that criticism will only stop when the team pick up results.

West Ham United manager Sam Allardyce has insisted that the only way to quiet the "disappointment" is to pick up results.

The 59-year-old has been the target of criticism from a number of supporters after the side suffered their fourth defeat in a row last weekend.

The Hammers can recover from last Saturday's 1-0 loss to West Bromwich Albion by beating Tottenham Hotspur at Upton Park this weekend.

"In our last four games, our performances have been good, but without a result comes criticism," Allardyce said in Thursday's press conference. "It's all about results.

"I can't remember us playing as well as we did against Liverpool this season, but it was a defeat. We accept the criticism when we don't get results. The only way to stop the disappointment is to go and win a football match."

The Hammers are 14th in the Premier League table on 37 points with two games left to play.
