England head coach Stuart Lancaster has received an honorary doctorate from Leeds Metropolitan University.
Lancaster, a former undergraduate at the university, has been given a Doctorate in Sport for his contribution to the field of sport and coaching.
"This is a huge honour. Twenty years ago I was sat where the graduating students are sitting and I have based my career on three principles," Lancaster said.
"Relationships, credibility and investing in yourself are key to your success."
The 42-year-old was named as the permanent national coach after impressing on a temporary basis.
