Winger Chris Ashton is an injury concern for England ahead of their World Cup warm-up match against Wales in Cardiff on Saturday.
The 24-year-old damaged his ankle on Thursday and only trained lightly on Friday.
"He's a bit sore so we'll see how he is tomorrow. Hopefully he will play," said coach Martin Johnson.
"We want guys to play and we are hopeful he will play.
"If not, we've got Matt Banahan on the bench and we've brought Delon [Armitage] too, so we will make a call about who will play if Chris can't," he added.
Following Wales, England will face Ireland on August 27 before heading to New Zealand for their first World Cup match on September 10 against Argentina.
