Alexandr Dologopolov has advanced into round four in Indian Wells following a 6-4 5-7 6-4 victory over Marcos Baghdatis.
Baghdatis, of Cyprus, found his Ukrainian opponent in top form in the early stages of the match as the latter secured the opening set 6-4.
Baghdatis broke twice in the second set, however, to tie it at 1-1 as the match approached a pulsating third set.
Dologopolov opened up a 4-0 lead early in the final set, but lost three straight games to allow his opponent back into the match.
He eventually finished it 6-4 on serve to set up a clash with Rafael Nadal in the next round.
