Tomas Berdych beats Feliciano Lopez to quarter-finals of Paris Masters

Tomas Berdych stays in contention in the race to London by reaching the quarter-finals of the Paris Masters at Feliciano Lopez's expense.

Tomas Berdych remains in contention for a spot at the ATP World Tour Finals in London after reaching the quarter-finals of the Paris Masters by sealing a 7-5 6-3 victory over Feliciano Lopez.

Lopez lost his opening service game, but he continued to battle until he found his first break in the ninth game of the first set.

Despite fighting back to 5-5, Lopez lost his serve again which handed Berdych a one-set lead in France.

After edging in front, the momentum swung in Berdych's direction as he grabbed a swift double break in the second set.

Lopez managed to convert a break point of his own, but it failed to trouble Berdych as he went on to see out the set and wrap up the contest.
