Andy Murray cruises through in Rotterdam

Andy Murray cruises through to the second round of the Rotterdam Open as he beats France's Edouard Roger-Vasselin in straight sets.

Andy Murray has cruised through to the second round of the Rotterdam Open with a comfortable straight-sets win over Edouard Roger-Vasselin.

The 26-year-old dominated from the off and eased to take the first set 6-3 as he broke the Frenchman's serve twice with some solid groundstrokes.

The second set was more of the same as Murray dominated the court, and Roger-Vasselin had no answer for his game as the Scot broke him twice again, taking the set 6-3 and the match in just one hour and 30 minutes.

Murray will now play Austria's Dominic Thiem in the second round of the tournament.
