Manchester United's Juan Mata: 'We lost the game in five minutes'

Manchester United's Juan Mata believes that his side lost their clash against Swansea City in five minutes as Garry Monk's men came from behind to beat the Red Devils.

Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata has claimed that a poor five-minute spell cost his side during their 2-1 defeat to Swansea City.

The Spaniard put the Red Devils ahead at the Liberty Stadium with a 48th-minute strike, but the Swans hit back through Andre Ayew before Bafetimbi Gomis secured the victory for Garry Monk's men.

Mata believes that United were slow to adjust to changes made by the home side, resulting in their first league defeat of the campaign.

"It is a big disappointment," Mata told Sky Sports News. "We did the most difficult thing, which is score first. We put ourselves ahead in the result, then in five minutes we lost the game.

"They changed the shape so we didn't react quickly enough. They created two quick plays and scored two good goals."

United are fifth in the Premier League after four games this season.
