Harry Kane: 'I will look after Dele Alli while we are on England duty'

England frontman Harry Kane reveals that he plans to look after Tottenham Hotspur teammate Dele Alli following the 19-year-old's call-up to the international stage.

England striker Harry Kane has insisted that he will be looking after fellow Tottenham Hotspur teammate Dele Alli following the midfielder's international call-up.

Three Lions boss Roy Hodgson announced on Thursday that an uncapped duo of Alli and Danny Ings had been given spots in his 24-man selection for the Euro 2016 qualifiers against Estonia and Lithuania that take place later this month.

"I will probably spend most of my time with him there because we are Spurs and I want to look after him, make sure he settles in all right," said Kane, according to talkSPORT.

"That is what it is about. He is really excited about it. Andros [Townsend] was there [when Kane was first called up], [Kyle] Walker was there, who had been there before.

"Obviously me and Ryan [Mason] went in together and were quite new. We kind of hung out together until we got to know the players and trained with them. Everyone is so welcoming. No one will give him a hard time. We will work hard."

Alli has already sought to become a prominent fixture in the Tottenham setup this term, having collected six Premier League appearances and one goal for the club.
