Great Britain's Scarlett Mew Jensen and Yasmin Harper win the bronze medal in the women's 3m synchro final at the World Aquatics Championships.

Great Britain's diving contingent won yet another bronze medal at the World Aquatics Championships as Scarlett Mew Jensen and Yasmin Harper took third place in the women's 3m synchro final.

The pair had taken silver for GB last year but were nearly 15 marks down from their score in 2023, posting a total of 281.70 after five routines to edge out the USA for a podium place.

Mew Jensen and Harper sat fifth after their first dive but consolidated their third-placed placement from the second routine onwards, despite only recording the 10th-best dive in the final rotation.

Defending champions Chang Yani and Chen Yiwen of China successfully retained their title with a mammoth score of 323.43, while Australia's Anabelle Smith and Maddison Keeney finished as runners-up, totalling 300.45.

Later on Wednesday, Ross Haslam sought to follow up his 1m individual springboard bronze in the men's 3m final, but the 26-year-old was forced to settle for a sixth-placed finish, scoring 438.60 after six dives.

Haslam was over 100 marks behind Chinese world champion Wang Zongyuan (538.70), whose compatriot and top qualifier Xie Siyi placed second with 516.10, while 19-year-old Mexican Osmar Olvera scored 498.40 to take third place.
